Join our organization and

help support classical music

As Seattle’s oldest musical organization, the Ladies Musical Club’s original mission was to foster an appreciation of classical music in a city finding its identity and to give local women musicians performance opportunties and peer feedback. 134 years later, we continue this mission, providing LMC musicians and our colleagues with opportunities for professional growth, networking, and performances.

Approximately 150 LMC members all volunteer their time and diverse talents in service of our mission to foster classical music in the community. Members are musicians, composers, music historians, educators, and music advocates who are all passionate about music's ability to enrich people's lives. Performing Members join by audition and can perform in our Public Concerts Series, and General Members contribute to the club in other ways. Membership benefits include:
Access to exclusive performance venues & opportunities
Network directly with performers & music supporters
Audience exposure via in-person events & social media
Collaboration opportunities
Support and promote classical music

How we bring music to the community

Our members help us bring classical music to the community in a variety of ways. Both General Members and Performing Members contribute to promoting the arts and achieving our mission by performing and coordinating free public concerts, helping run our Music In Schools, Archives, and Competition programs, and facilitating other organizational needs such as event planning, board service, and general operations.
